This Double DIN stereo upgrade fitting kit is designed for select Volkswagen Transporter T6 2015-2019 models fitted with Composition Colour, Composition Media or Discover Media systems. It is built to allow installation of an aftermarket Double DIN head unit or a Single DIN floating screen stereo, using the included fascia panel and universal pocket for a clean, vehicle-specific dashboard finish. The fascia uses side fixing brackets for a flush-fit installation rather than a traditional cage-style mount.

The included VW steering wheel control and info display interface is the key part of the kit for feature retention. It is designed for select VW MIB systems and retains the original steering wheel buttons, park pilot parking sensor visuals, and climate control information on the new aftermarket head unit. This allows the stereo upgrade to keep important factory functions that would otherwise be lost during installation.

To retain the original radio and media connections, the package includes both aerial adapters needed for OEM systems. The double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with 12V phantom power retains the original AM/FM aerial, while the Fakra DAB male to SMB female adapter retains the original DAB aerial for use with an aftermarket DAB tuner. The VW Group USB retention cable is included to keep the factory USB socket active with the new stereo.

This package also includes the VW / Skoda / Seat OEM camera retention adapter. This adapter is designed to retain the factory reverse camera when installing an aftermarket stereo in compatible VW Group vehicles using the 52-pin Quadlock MQS plug. It connects into the new Quadlock harness for the aftermarket head unit and requires a separate reverse signal feed to activate the camera on the new screen.

Stereo Upgrade Fitting Kit Includes

Fakra DAB male to DAB SMB female antenna adapter (21-037)

Use to convert the original (Fakra DAB) antenna connector in a car to a female SMB (used on aftermarket head-units)

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter (21-139)
This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Double Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.
The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

AUX/ USB adapter (24-257)
USB adapter and extension to retain the use of the original dashboard mount USB socket when fitting an aftermarket head unit.

VW, Skoda, Seat original OEM camera retention cable (27-232)
This camera retention adapter allows you to retain your factory reverse camera when installing an aftermarket stereo. The cable connects into the new Quadlock harness used for the new aftermarket head unit, and a separate reverse feed is required to activate the camera on the new screen.
