The PreAmp II is a new generation pre amplifier and a natural addition to Tangent’s stylish and popular range of compact electronics. Designed for flexibility and ease of use, it brings together multiple inputs, wireless connectivity and high quality sound in one convenient unit.

Wired or wireless

As a versatile control centre, the PreAmp II allows you to connect multiple sources to a power amplifier or active speakers. It features both digital optical and analogue inputs, along with Bluetooth connectivity, making it easy to stream music wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or computer.

Ideal for turntables

With the continued growth of vinyl, the PreAmp II now includes a built in RIAA phono stage. This allows a turntable to be connected directly, without the need for an external phono pre amplifier.

Balanced XLR

A key addition to the PreAmp II is balanced XLR output, allowing for a higher quality connection to compatible power amplifiers such as the Tangent PowerAmpster II.

Headphone output

The PreAmp II also includes a built in headphone amplifier, making it ideal for private listening. The front mounted headphone output provides easy access for everyday use.

Subwoofer or active speakers

Multiple output options are available, including analogue line out and balanced XLR for connection to amplifiers or active speakers. A dedicated subwoofer output is also included to enhance low frequency performance.

Take control

A full function remote control is included for convenient operation. The PreAmp II also features automatic standby wake up, returning to the last used source, so it powers on as soon as you start playback.
