Integrating with a digital factory system
Let's say you want to put in your own aftermarket amplifier to upgrade your factory radio, but the system uses a digital data-bus for all its controls so there's no 12-volt trigger wire to use for the new amp's remote turn-on signal. Wāvtech's IRAD solves that problem and more, allowing you to add:
- A switched 12-volt output, that turns on and off with the car's ignition;
- A remote 12-volt output with adjustable delay, for avoiding on/off pop;
- A relay/solenoid control for a secondary battery that can overcome some of the issues experienced in start/stop engine systems by triggering a couple of relays and a solenoid (sold separately) to isolate the two batteries when cranking, connecting them together while running, and isolating them again when parked.
