Gateway Lite BT enables music playback from a USB storage or iPod / iPhone through your vehicle’s entertainment system, using the buttons of the car stereo for basic control. This device also offers Bluetooth handsfree mobile call handling via the original buttons of the Head Unit (Radio). The Dension Gateway Lite BT is designed to give easy-to-manage control, in cars where it is not possible to display text, therefore only basic control is available.

The Gateway Lite BT is a basic car multimedia interface from Dension allowing music playback from a wide range of digital data sources. Dension Gateway Lite BT is not only an interface but a car multimedia adapter offering device control using the car radio buttons as well as device charging in the car. Gateway Lite BT is a fully integrated, invisible solution that allows you to use your iPod, iPhone, Smartphone, USB and AUX devices in the car without changing the car interior.

This device also offers Bluetooth connectivity for music streaming (via A2DP).

It opens up the car’s original audio system to allow the playback of iPod, USB or *AUX-in music through your entertainment system’s speakers. Tuck your source away in the glove box and you can control using the car radio buttons as well as the device charging in the car. The interior of your car looks exactly like it did the day you bought it, it just does a lot more. You must choose the docking cable option for a neater installation by simply having everything tucked away in your glove box or armrest.

Simple Integration For IPod | USB | AUX-In | Bluetooth

Dension translates CD changer messages to iPod controls and switches the iPod automatically on and off as you select/deselect the CD changer source and your iPod is charged while connected. The Bluetooth facility allows you to pair your phone (whilst in CD-Changer mode) and make handsfree calling.

Control At Your Fingertips

When connected to the car Gateway Lite 3 emulates a CD changer or an Aux input. The radio detects the music signal from iPod, iPhone or USB and plays it back through the car speakers. Device control happens by the radio buttons and the steering wheel controls. Once you’ve selected the album you can select the track by using the FFWD button of your radio or steering wheel.

Every Gateway Lite BT comes with a comprehensive user manual but for a quick start up just select the CD changer function; plug-in your iPod, iPhone or USB into the dock cable or cradle and enjoy the music provided by the Dension Gateway Lite. Every Gateway Lite BT comes with a comprehensive user manual, but in most cases, you select the CD changer function, then CD6 and a series of menus are opened up to you to control your music. The FFWD key and/or steering wheel controls are then all you need to navigate around your iPod. If your car is fitted with a CD changer, the Dension Gateway will take its place.

When you receive an incoming call in Gateway mode (CD-Changer mode), the music gets muted and the ringing tone is directed to the speakers (phone dependent). Please wait 4 seconds (within this time the Handsfree profile is activated) then press the Next track button to pick the phone up. You can hang up an ongoing call or reject an incoming call if you press the Previous track button. After finishing the call, the Gateway will return to the original Gateway source

NOTE 1: Please check the compatibility with your vehicle here. Text information ID3 tags (artist, title, album) will not be shown on the radio display with this non-text capable Dension kit however the information is still displayed on the iPod.

Text Information

This is a Lite version and therefore does not support the display of text (song details on your radio e.g. song name, album, artist etc), however, you will see the same information displayed on your iPod or iPhone.

	This product is a non-text version of song details that are not visible on the radio. However, the information is still displayed on the iPod or iPhone. Making a phone call is only possible via mobile phone. In order to activate the Bluetooth hands free mode of the Gateway Lite BT the CD-Changer mode has to be selected otherwise the conversation will not be transferred to the car’s speakers.

Addons Available For Gateway Lite BT*

Dension Gateway Cradle The Active cradle is meant to be mounted to the dashboard via the supplied vent clips that allow you to attach the Cradle to any vents on the dash so the iPhone/iPod display is clear to see and the device is easier to control.

Dension Gateway iPod Cable The Dock cable is designed so that the iPhone/iPod/USB is discretely tucked in the glove box or armrest. The Dock Cable is the obvious choice if you wish to use the Dension Gateway iPod Interface Mode.

Dension 3.5mm AUX Cable The cable is designed to plug into your device which has a 3.5mm Aux-in and can be discretely tucked in the glove box or armrest. The AUX input jack cable is the obvious choice if you wish to connect the Dension Gateway to a music device with 3.5mm AUX-in eg. MP3 player.
