JL Audio's ZR100-CT high-performance 1" aluminum dome tweeters bring out the subtle details in your music so you get a clear sonic picture of all the instruments in the stereo mix. You'll enjoy the extended high-frequency response offered by an aluminum dome, while special-design butyl rubber surrounds eliminate the shrillness that can plague lesser metal tweeters.

The crisp-sounding ZR100-CT tweeters feature strong neodymium magnets, ferrofluid-cooled for reliable performance. JL Audio's ratcheting swivel rotation (RSR) system allows you to aim these tweeters for the best possible stereo image in your vehicle.

Note: These tweeters must be used with the supplied in-line high-pass filters, or an appropriate external crossover. Failure to do so could lead to damage to the tweeters not covered under the warranty.

Aluminum Dome Tweeter

Lightweight Aluminum Dome tweeters deliver sparkling high-frequency detail that extends well beyond the frequency response of typical human hearing.

Compared to similar textile designs, aluminum tweeter diaphragms offer superior stiffness and high-frequency extension, with only a minor penalty in efficiency. JL Audio’s aluminum dome tweeters employ a rubber surround and ferrous fluid in the motor gap to damp the aluminum diaphragm. This additional damping reduces ringing and improves the tweeter’s smoothness of reproduction while still delivering the high-frequency energy and extension that metal domes are known for.

The ZR100-CT component tweeters feature 1-inch aluminum domes with rubber-roll suspensions that damp unwanted ringing while delivering spectacular high-frequency extension. They provide extremely balanced high-frequency reproduction from 4 - 25 kHz. A flush-mounting fixture with a classy electro-formed ring provides a sophisticated touch in any installation.

Tweeter kit includes two tweeters with grilles and two mounting fixtures. Inline 12 dB / octave high-pass filters with tweeter protectors are also included with this kit. The ZR100-CT is designed to operate above 4 kHz with a minimum high-pass slope of 12 dB / octave.
