JL Audio W1v3 Series Subwoofer Driver

The W1v3 is an outstanding choice when your build provides space that is very tight and amplifier power that is respectably moderate. The driver features a shallow mounting depth (4.6 in. / 117 mm) and a compact motor structure, allowing it to comfortably fit in a lot of spaces where a typical 10-inch driver will not. Lacking a pole vent, the rear of the motor structure can be placed directly against an enclosure boundary. In addition, excellent excursion capability and linearity allow it to reproduce sub-bass with striking extension and quality. Several of JL Audio's proprietary technologies enhance its performance and reliability. This includes JL Audio's patented DMA, Elevated Frame-Cooling and Floating Cone Attach Method™ technologies.

Dynamic JL Audio Performance

The 10W1v3 Subwoofer can be driven with as little as 75 Watts. However, for best audio performance it is recommended to run an amplifier capable of between 200 - 300 Watts of continuous power per driver, like the JL Audio JX250/1D. In addition, these subwoofers are optimized to operate in either a ported or sealed enclosure, needing only 0.55 cubic feet of air space in a sealed box and 0.90 cubic feet in a ported/vented enclosure. Striking Linearity and Control

DMA is JL Audio’s proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis system and is aimed at delivering superior dynamic stability and low distortion. As a result of DMA optimization, W1v3 motors remain linear in motor force over an extreme range of excursion and also maintain a highly stable fixed magnetic field in the gap over a wide power range. This leads to tight, clean, articulate bass that also allows for extreme linear excursion, phenomenal power handling and control, control, control.
